Most WordPress sites live on modest servers built for publishing pages, not running language models or maintaining vector databases. Sole Engine provides both beyond that cramped environment while the plugin keeps their use straightforward inside WordPress.

Sole Engine builds and maintains the semantic index for your published posts and pages. Your site gains meaning-aware search and the foundation for further semantic tools without installing, operating or squeezing a vector database into limited WordPress hosting.
The plugin keeps that machinery in step with published, updated and removed content. If Sole Engine cannot answer, WordPress keeps serving the site. Semantic features can be switched off, and their stored index data can be purged from the settings page.

Connect the Engine
Set up Sole Engine in WordPress.
- Open Sole Account.
- Enter your email address. Sole Account sends a sign-in link.
- Open the link and choose Continue to Sole Account. Your first successful sign-in creates the account.
- Open API Keys, choose + Create key, enter a Key name you will recognize, and create the key.
- Copy the full key when it appears. It is shown once and cannot be recovered later. Store it somewhere private.
- Download the Sole Engine ZIP from this page.
- In WordPress, open Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin. Choose the ZIP, install it and activate it. Installing from a downloaded ZIP is temporary; Sole Engine is intended for the official WordPress plugin repository.
- Open Settings → SOLE Engine. Paste the full key into Engine User Key, then choose Save Settings.
- Open the Diagnostics tab and choose Refresh Account Status. The Account Status should show verified — accepted by API. The confirmation says Saved key accepted by API.
If Account Status shows invalid — rejected by API, return to Sole Account, create a new key, replace the saved key in WordPress, choose Save Settings, then choose Refresh Account Status again. Revoke any key you no longer use.
You need an email address you can open and a WordPress site where you can install plugins. Sole Account and Sole Engine are free during early access, and billing is off.
The account page creates and revokes keys. The WordPress plugin uses the key to reach Sole Engine. Removing or revoking the key stops that authority; it does not require reinstalling the plugin.
